Thank you for visiting the websites of Tyson Law LLP, d/b/a The Election Law Group (“we” or “us” or “the firm”). We have posted this Privacy Notice to inform you of what personal information we collect about you when you use certain of our “services,” such as by registering for a firm newsletter, registering for or attending a firm event, paying an invoice online, submitting a resume or job application, communicating with us via email or telephone, or interacting with one of our websites, including www.theelectionlawgroup.com (each, a “site”); how we use such information; and what rights you may have regarding such information. Except as explicitly stated, this Privacy Notice does not apply to any information we receive in the course of providing you with any professional services pursuant to an engagement letter or other agreement.
We respect your privacy and your rights under applicable law. We take steps designed to protect your personal information from accidental use, disclosure and access.
If you do not agree with all the terms of this Privacy Notice, you must not use our services.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you use our services, we collect personal and other information about you and your use of our services. “Personal information” is information that identifies, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you. Personal information does not include publicly-available information, aggregate data, or deidentified information.
We collect personal information directly from you that may include the following:
- Name, email address, telephone number, other contact details, and employment information when you submit a “contact us” request or register for an event or newsletter;
- Photographs, video, or audio recording of in-person and online events in which you participate;
- Educational, contact, and professional information, if you submit a resume; and
- Financial, contact, and payment information when you use our online billing site.
We automatically collect personal information including the following when you use our services:
- Cookies that remember information about you from one page of a site to the next and from one visit to the next;
- IP address used to connect your device to the Internet;
- Computer and connection information such as your browser type and version, operating system and platform;
- Transaction history;
- Confirmation when you open e-mail that we send you;
- The URLs of referring sites and sites you visit after ours;
- The pages you viewed on our sites;
- Search queries on our sites
- The phone number used to call us.
Your browser allows you to reject cookies and software is available from third parties which will allow you to visit our sites without providing this information. You are welcomed at our sites if you use this option, but we will not be able to offer you customized services.
We collect personal information from third parties such as attendee lists and contact information from event sponsors, and usage details of website features or functions from our service providers.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO OTHERS
We may use and disclose your personal information for other purposes explained at the time of collection (such as in a specific privacy collection statement or notice) or otherwise as set out in this Privacy Notice. More specifically, we may disclose information about you as follows:
- Within our company and with our affiliates;
- With service providers that perform services on our behalf, including for the purposes of operating our sites, assisting us to perform business functions, managing and updating user and registrant lists and records, analyzing data, handling billing and payments, and facilitating customer service;

- With select business partners such as identified co-sponsors of an event;

We reserve the right to transfer the information we maintain in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. If we engage in such a sale or transfer, we will make reasonable efforts to direct the recipient to use your personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Notice. After such a sale or transfer, you may contact the recipient with any inquiries concerning the recipient’s privacy practices.
We do not sell your personal information or transfer personal information to third parties to use for their own benefit; however, certain companies we use to provide different features and functions on the sites (such as Google Analytics and Passle) may place tracking technologies like cookies on our sites. Those companies receive information about your interaction with our sites that is associated with your browser or device and may use that data to track or profile you. .

- To prevent or detect abuse of our services or any of our rights (and attempts to do so), and to enforce or apply our Privacy Notice and/or any other agreement, and to protect our (or others’) property or rights; and
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the instructions in a marketing message.
We will retain your personal information for as long as required to fulfill our business purpose, your request, or the requirements of applicable law.
We do not use personal information in connection with any automated decision making process, and do not create inferences about you using personal information.

BY USING OUR SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO OUR USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT WAS COLLECTED AND FOR ANY BUSINESS PURPOSE OF THE FIRM.
LOCATION AND DATA TRANSFER
We are located in the United States and operate the services under United States law. If you are located outside the United States, please note that we collect, store, and process your information in the United States and that it will be transferred to the United States or other locations, which may not provide the same level of data protection as the laws in your home country. You use the sites and services at your own risk.
USERS IN CALIFORNIA
If you reside in California, you may have certain additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or California Privacy Rights Act. These include the right to know what categories of personal information we collect about you and how it is used and shared; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; and the right to delete personal information or opt out of our sharing it (with some exceptions). USE OF SERVICES BY MINORS
Our sites and services are not intended for children under thirteen years of age. No one under age thirteen may provide any information to us through the sites. If we learn we have collected or received personal information on the sites from anyone under thirteen without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information received through a site from a child under thirteen, please contact us.

Do not send confidential information to us when contacting us through the sites. If you do, and we do not already represent you, we have no duty of confidentiality regarding anything you send us.
