Bryan’s practice focuses on civil and appellate litigation representing governments and elected officials in a wide range of election matters involving constitutional law and claims made under the Voting Rights Act. He also represents clients in cases involving state and local election laws.

 

Bryan has significant trial and motion practice experience. He has argued constitutional claims before a three-judge federal court, and completed several federal bench trials. One such successful trial was named one of the “Biggest Rulings in Georgia” of 2022 by Law360. He has argued a variety of complex motions in federal court, including a successful defense of Georgia’s redistricting maps following a six-day preliminary injunction hearing.

 

Bryan has written briefs for election cases brought before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States Supreme Court.

 

In addition to the law, Bryan devotes significant time to studying and writing about economics, history, technology, and public policy. This cross-section of subject matters aids in his holistic view of election law.
